Carbon Trust

A typical evaporative cooler, serving a 250 square meter factory, can reduce carbon emissions by up to 10 tonnes per year, and reduce running costs by 75% compared with conventional air conditioning.

The Carbon Trust’s “Energy Efficiency Loans” scheme is designed to encourage small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s) to invest in energy efficient systems with low carbon emissions, such as evaporative cooling.

Depending on the energy and carbon savings achieved each year, qualifying companies may be able to borrow up to 100% of the installed cost, to be repaid over four years, interest free.

• Advise regarding eligibility, and help with completing the Trust’s eligibility form.
• Calculation of the energy and carbon savings possible for your application, in a format suitable for direct entry onto the application form.
• Advise about the additional information required by the Trust, including gathering figures from your accountant or finance department if required.
• Liaison with the Trust’s technical consultants while they verify the savings.
• Progressing of the application with the Trust.
