Ever wondered how best to bring an end to a conversation at a party? How to prompt that glazed over, wish I wasn’t here look on someone’s face? Or maybe you just want to scare the opposite sex away for a bit, you know, so you can take a little breather?

It’s easy, anyone can do it, and it doesn’t take long to learn the technique.

All you have to do, when asked “So tell me, what do you do for a living?”, is reply with one of the phrases below. Any one will do, they all work flawlessly:

“Oh, I do factory cooling”
“Ah, well, warehouse heating”
“Evaporative cooling actually”

See, it’s working already isn’t it; you’re nodding off. And you came here expecting to read about these things!

If the conversation manages to survive one of those little dead ends (most don’t), it’ll almost certainly go one of two ways. Either you’ll be asked to “come ’round and fix the ‘fridge”, or you’ll be told that you’re evil and are single handedly destroying the environment and/or making everyone ill

So, you might ask, why have a blog on a subject that can chill the warmest of social gatherings? Well it’s because, sad though it may be, we’re pretty passionate about what we do. Yes it’s a business we run, but we’re doing something here that can genuinely make a difference, yet far too few people know about it, and some of those that do will have seen a lot of miss-information!

We want to spread the word, clear up some of the miss-conceptions, hear what people think, educate, and maybe, just maybe, if we can do it without making all of this far too interesting, have a little fun.

We’d also like you to contribute. Please ask questions, challenge what we say, tell us your experiences, update us if we get it wrong, tell us about something interesting, or just say hello. If we do all the talking, there’s no way to distinguish this from the miss-information that’s out there; we need what we say to be tested.
